"Reminiscences" Scrapbook, ca. 1900.

The collection is comprised of a "narrative scrapbook" that tells the story of Lee's friendship with the Clifford family with whom she lodged, especially Mrs. Clifford, to whom the scrapbook is dedicated. Throughout, Lee also refers to another friend, Grace, whom she met while they were both working at sanitorium. Grace and Lee shared other friends and many hobbies and activities, including swimming, music, travel, and a life with the Cliffords. Grace was the family's housekeeper. Lee details all of the events in their intertwined lives through manuscript text and cut-out images from magazines. Acquired as part of the Sallie Bingham Center for Women's History and Culture.
